Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet mess (spills or stains) in one session without the need to switch out devices. They also can save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bins and refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads using an appropriate dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer for its low cost, and it's one of the most simple robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is simple, and the quick-start guide will have you up and running in no time with an entire dust bag, water tank and hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments and a user-friendly application that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For example, you can decide to let the robot clean up the kitchen and living rooms but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models cannot. Its only drawback is that it can smash into walls and other objects at full speed - but an instant glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's avoided.
The docking station comes with an LCD display that indicates when maintenance is needed, such as emptying debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last 136 mins in standard mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. You can also view the full cleaning details in the app, which is intuitively laid out and is easy to comprehend, though we would have liked to be able distinguish between a vacuum and mop and vacuum clean when examining a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's flagship robot vacuum and mop. The model of this year features two agitators built into its mopping pad. This increases the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that enables it to pull up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners may miss.

The Roborock model, like the other two models I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating dual cameras that can detect objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It can then change its direction automatically and clean the objects, without missing a step.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed however, it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek, angular design is eye-catching and it has just three physical buttons: the power button, which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin fills up automatically.
The only drawback I could find to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. You can change the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to take the mount off for manual washing. I've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mount, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. visit the next site can manage and set up these using the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and track the battery's lifespan. You'll need to jump through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with its innovative features, top suction power and cutting-edge mowing abilities. Its intelligent design allows you to personalize and efficiently clean while saving time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner that can deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the top alternatives available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry debris. It also comes with a high-quality mop that makes hard floors sparkling clean, even with a wet pad. Additionally the X40 is extremely quiet during its operation, with only occasional squeaks of sound when switching modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks.
Another noteworthy feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush that allows it to reach difficult-to-access corners and clean curved furniture like table and chair legs. The robot can also reach under low-profile furnishings, making it an excellent option for smaller apartments or condos. The side brush tilts automatically down when it detects wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that allows the X40 to avoid damaging floors by the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Unlike some other robots that only focus on one thing, the X40 can do mopping and vacuuming at the same time or in a series. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas or vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is easy to use and understand, and the X40 has many smart features that are simple to configure. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, alter modes, view floor plans and maps, and manage mopping setting. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it is finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many features that make it a great option for busy families. The docking station will automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads and refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It can also tell when the mop pad is full and alert you before it gets overflowing, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. However, it has many characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature of its mops, uses two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, small dirt particles and remove spills and dirty spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is an excellent feature because it prevents the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen before on other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.
There's a plethora of options available, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a variety of preferences. These can be set via the app or there are direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and provides a number of options for customising your cleaning routine. It also comes with many features that aren't offered on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen in the market, with metallic and white colors that looks elegant and classy. It's a bit heavier than some of the other two-in-1 robots on this list, at 4kg but it's not too heavy, and is sturdy and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors as well as in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
