5. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro has been created to be an efficient mop and vacuum combo that is also user-friendly. The gunmetal base station automatically fills up its own tank with clean water, then empty the dust bin into a smaller container, and washes and drys its own mop pads during cleaning sessions. It also has an advanced feature set that lets it switch between rugs and hard effectively removing pet hair and dirt from carpets, and clear the thresholds of rooms that are raised.
The S1 Pro has excellent navigation and mapping due to the internal dToF system. It is able to maintain the appearance of a low-profile, while offering the best in object detection. It is able to drive close to walls and avoid steps without crashing. It also raises the mop automatically when driving on short-pile carpets. However, it struggled a little when encountering longer-pile carpets as well as several large, thick piles of dried-on debris.
Like many robots like it, the S1 Pro comes ready to take off from the box and needs only a quick initial mapping run to figure out how it can navigate your home. Once that's done the map is displayed in the app and rooms can be added or merged as needed. You can also set virtual boundaries as well as no-go zones if there's something you do not want the robot to be able to touch.
The S1 Pro is a great option for homes that have both types of flooring, since it has the ability to mop and vacuum. However, its reliance on a Eufy-branded cleaning product (which is included in the box) makes it less flexible than other robots that let you create your own solutions. Its ability to mop and vacuum makes it an excellent option for homes with both types of flooring. However, its dependence on Eufy cleaning solutions (which are included in the box) could make it less adaptable than other robots which permit you to include your own cleaning solutions.
